Want to try something new? Meet new artists? We have classes in crochet, sewing, and more.

STREAMLines Initiative

STREAMLines is the initiative for young artists in Currituck County and neighboring areas. We offer art programming that includes elements of science, technology, rhetoric, engineering, art, and mathematics with a focus on practicing creativity. While we focus heavily on the "art" aspect, all of these themes work together to create a well-rounded education program.

Programs designed for children include "Streamlines" in the name.

Summer Events, Classes & Camps

Sewing Saturdays

Have a kid interested in learning to crochet? This is an introductory lesson with a simple project. Includes supplies, hooks, and take-home project.

When: Saturdays in June 12-6

Where: Meeting Room

No Witnesses Pitch Meeting

Want to learn crochet but don't know where to begin? This class includes supplies, hooks, and a take-home granny square project

When: Wednesday, June 24 from 6–8pm

Musical of the Month

Read this month's musical pick, based on a movie of the same title and featuring music of Sara Barielles. Pie and pie-style desserts will be available and are encouraged. Members only.

Camp Crochet

Have a kid interested in learning to crochet? This is a quick intensive including hooks, supplies, and take home project. Ages 7-14.

When: Wednesday-Friday, July 8-10 from 1-4pm

Crowns & Combat

This camp combines elements fit for royalty: making royal accessories and learning stage combat safety. Ages 10-16.

Granny Craft & Yap

Bring your own embroidery, cross-stitch, embroidery, bead-work, paper craft, knitting, crochet, or non-electric craft. This isn't a class, it's just a day to make with other artists. MEMBERS ONLY.

When: Friday, July 10 from 5–8pm

Make Your Own Music Camp

Did you know you can make musical instruments? Through this camp, we will learn how to make and use various percussion instruments and a little bit about vocal music. Ages 7-14. All supplies included.

When: Wednesday-Friday, July 15-17 from 1-4pm

Bucket Drumming with Bee

Explore rhythm with Miss Bee through the wonderful world of bucket drumming! Ages 7-14. Buckets must be returned.

Broadway or Bust: 10th Anniversary!

Explore theatre, music, and dance through this fast-paced camp going from a casting call to performance during camp time. Ages 7-14. All supplies included, includes camp T shirt.

When: Wednesday-Friday, July 22-24 from 1-4pm

Puppet Making Camp

Design and make your own puppet during this three-day program, including how to bring them to life through puppetry skills in our puppet theatre. Ages 10-16.
